You’ve probably landed here after searching for information about DUIs in Florida. After going through the process of being in an accident, transported to a hospital, arrested, and convicted of driving under the influence in Florida, I decided to document the process in order to educate others on the legal wrangling and the impact a DUI has on an individual.
Driving Under the Influence (DUI): is the offense of driving, operating, or being in control of a vehicle while impaired by alcohol or drugs (including recreational drugs and those prescribed by physicians), to a level that renders the driver incapable of operating a motor vehicle safely.
Additionally, I decided to share stories about the organizations outside of law enforcement that play a major role in DUI arrests – for good or bad, for-profit or greed, for rehabilitation, or to just make life difficult.
The information contained in this website is unique to my personal experience with a DUI arrest and conviction in the state of Florida. Each individual’s case is unique and has circumstances that can result in outcomes that differ from mine.
None of the information contained within is designed to promote the unsafe activity of driving under the influence, nor should it be construed as such. Impaired driving can be deadly, not only for the driver but for innocent victims.
My experiences are based on a first-time DUI in Florida, with no injuries or fatalities other than minor injuries to myself.
